
David Poundall B.Sc (Hons)
Current roles: System and Treatment Plant Design; Plant Consultation; Quotations; Customer Tech support, and a fully Trained Barista.
David can be best described as a system designer who specialises in IT and communications as applied to process engineering.
Graduating from Leeds University in 1979 David immediately moved into the military electronics market sector. After two years doing the groundwork David then shifted sideways into freelance work and in 1982 founded Jotax Ltd. He has been running his own companies ever since.
As technical director of Jotax, David still worked on military systems, but he also took on board Space Systems; with some projects being for ESA. Halfway through his time with Matra Marconi Space (later Astrium) David did some work in the timber treatment market sector. This led him into developing and deploying the WorkNet™ timber control system for the then ‘Protim Solignum Ltd’, now ‘Koppers’.
In 2005 David founded TSL. Directly and indirectly, over the past 24 years David has been responsible for the installation and support of 50% of the PC systems used in the UK timber treatment market sector.
Future roles: Engineering training, new product development and deployment.

Janet Poundall B.Educ. (Hons)
Current Roles: Operations Director TSL responsible for Logistics; Research; Procurement; Risk Assessments; Health and Safety; Covid 19 protocol manager; Expert at making things happen.
As well as being a key player within TSL, Janet has worked with animals and in particular horses all of her life.
This led Janet to move on and run her own riding school, ‘Byron Riding’ for 2 years. As well as breeding and showing Welsh Section A ponies, she was involved with breeding and working with Shire horses with her father.
Realising that she enjoyed the teaching aspect of riding lessons, she retrained at Nottingham Trent University to be a School teacher. Following 13 years in teaching; she reached the managerial position of Key stage 2 coordinator at one of Inner-City Leeds’s largest primary schools. One of Janet’s strengths is in her interpersonal skills which she puts to good use in every role she takes on.
For the last 3 years she has been developing her passion for cooking and has found time to create a catering company Maroon Spoon (maroonspoon.co.uk). creating Recipe Kit boxes and also attending events with her Thai street Food trailer. Janet also ran ‘The Brierley café’ at Brierley Forest Park Visitor’s centre in Nottinghamshire.
