Current roles: System and Treatment Plant Design; Plant Consultation; Quotations; Customer Tech support, and a fully Trained Barista.
David can be best described as a system designer who specialises in IT and communications as applied to process engineering.
Graduating from Leeds University in 1979 David immediately moved into the military electronics market sector. After two years doing the groundwork David then shifted sideways into freelance work and in 1982 founded Jotax Ltd. He has been running his own companies ever since.
As technical director of Jotax, David still worked on military systems, but he also took on board Space Systems; with some projects being for ESA. Halfway through his time with Matra Marconi Space (later Astrium) David did some work in the timber treatment market sector. This led him into developing and deploying the WorkNet™ timber control system for the then ‘Protim Solignum Ltd’, now ‘Koppers’.
In 2005 David founded TSL. Directly and indirectly, over the past 24 years David has been responsible for the installation and support of 50% of the PC systems used in the UK timber treatment market sector.
Future roles: Engineering training, new product development and deployment.
